A few details make all the difference when flowers are going to a service. Here is what we ask for and why.
What we need from you
- Which funeral home, and where to deliver. The funeral home, church or venue, and its address. If it is on our list, you can pick it at checkout and we fill in the address.
- The service date and time. We plan delivery for before the doors open, often the morning of, or the evening before a morning service.
- The name of the person being remembered. The funeral home uses it to place your flowers in the right room.
- How you want the card signed. For example “With love, the Martinez family” or “Your friends at the office”.
Timing
Sprays and standing sprays need 2 days’ notice. For other arrangements, order by 12:00 pm Central for same-day delivery when we are open. We are closed Sundays and holidays. For a weekend or Monday service, ordering a day or two ahead gives us the most flexibility.
After the service
Many families take arrangements home, or ask the funeral home to deliver them to a church, a nursing home or the graveside. Vase and basket arrangements travel best. Standing sprays and casket pieces usually stay at the venue or go to the cemetery.
